Many thanks to Aunt G and Uncle S for being such great hosts. WE had a blast! It is always so much fun getting together. We crashed them this holiday weekend. The children had a long weekend for Martin Luther King holiday and then they had a teacher work day. Gretchen woke really early in the morning and had a great breakfast waiting for us. That was so nice and sweet. We left by 6:30 in the morning and the children had to be up at 6am. It was sad to say goodbye but that is what drives getting us together again.
As our time was getting near to leave and it was our last night to stay, there were reports of wintry weather both in the TN area and the "Incredible" area. I was worried this would delay flights or even cancel them. The TN cousins all had school today so they were praying that it would snow and they would have a snow day and we would be forced to stay one more day. They slept with spoons under their pillows and their pajamas inside out. LOL, I have never heard of such a thing.
Despite the prayers and hopes and wishes of 8 little ones praying for snow it just wasn't in the plans. Both TN and NC received rain and a small amount of sleet but nothing to cancel school for them or the flights for us.
We made it to the airport and onto our flight with no trouble at all both going and coming back. Working for the USAirways we get to travel free.
I hope that you guys will come our way to NC for the next holiday break! You should come spend your anniversary with us. We can watch the kiddos and you two go for a romantic getaway! Til we meet again, may God keep you safe.
Thanks sil for a wild crazy and very fun weekend! Hope you had a blast on your B'day.
