I went and passed out in the bedroom for and hour or two and when I woke up all the food was gone and the kiddos were snacking and Steve and Gretchen were on their way to go walking. The first thought in my head was like, C-YA! You ain't dragging my butt out there, but then the energy in the house started rising and more and more people were going and I said, YEAH! get me some gloves. I am going to. I am so glad I did. I had so much fun going.
Mr. Incredible and I have decided we will not join their fitness for life but we are making small changes and better choices. (we do have our trip to Hawaii coming up in 6 short months). Leah Beth and Kai went with us and we had Grandma and Uncle Bruce go with us, too. So, there were 7 of us and we were walking, running and jogging! It was so much fun! I think I might be in a wheelchair tomorrow. I know my shins are burning!
Steve had the fun idea for everyone to get walk one in front of the other and then the last person jog or sprint to the front of the line and when they get to the front the last person sprints to the front. I really really liked doing this.
We did this for about 30 minutes........
and then a few people started dying out and so while we waited for others to catch up we got in a circle and did squats. That was fun! I did it and it was a breeze, until the next day. Steve let me call it out on my count. I had the "bright" idea to hold the squat. Yeah, I felt this the next day! OUCH!
Mr. Incredible decided that he would hop in the truck and follow us and be the motivating coach. Umm... 'cuse me?? GET OUT AND WALK!! So, while he thought he was being motivating by yelling and screaming at us to get our knees up and walk faster. He really was just making me angry. LOL, seriously that does not motivate me. Motivation for me is COMPETITION!
Apparently, it did not motivate his mama either. This is what she thought about it.
Yep, she decided to go for a moon, despite the countless layers of clothing she had on. Mr. Incredible took the truck and got right up behind her and Bruce and thought he could push them along faster if he rode up on their heels. Is there any wonder where her boys get their humor from??? too funny!
We walked for 45 minutes. I did more running that day than I did all year. I was feeling awesome, I was feeling great, I was feeling superior! Mr. Incredible took pictures of us all! Sweetheart and I came in frist and that is all that matters. LOL!!
Bruce did awesome! It was his first time to walk to! WAY TO GO BRUCEE!
VICTORIOUS! Not bad for someone who is a year older! She's still got it.
Hey, if I can look this good and still keep a great walking pace at G'mas age! I will
be one hot ol' lady!
