THANKSGIVING DAY memories

THIS IS A RE POST FROM LAST YEAR! We are cooking, doing all of the traditions and I have no camera! So sorry, but I love reminicing from past years memories! I am truly grateful to be surrounded by wonderful family memories!























Get ready to rumble! My dad always always takes time with our children. He always wants to show them a good time and he truly knows the secret to a good time means you do not have to spend any MONEY on them. He had all of the children outside playing a game of kickball! Remember these children are the same children that only had 3 hours of sleep and they are still running on their duracell bunny batteries. There was crying, waling and gnashing of the teeth but like a true trooper, he stuck it out with them until they finally came to their senses and knew he was not CAVING into ANYONE's crying. LOL, once the kids got their act back in line and stopped running to mommy and daddy and aunts and uncles to save them or justify them, they decided play, or don't play, pout and play or pout and dont play! roflrofl, so great!!! Well, after the adults in the house decided to push themselves away from the counters and the tables and eat pie and more pie, we thought we would see what was going on in the front of the house! ( I pride myself, that I was the first adult to play with my son, Warrior. We rocked the game after that) then about 20 minutes later Bruce came out and about an hour after that Mr. Incredible rolled himself off the front porch!! HELLO!! I have just found our newest THANKSGIVING TRADITION!!! I never laughed so hard and for so long. It was sooo funny and such a great way to play. We were so loud. Neighbors had come out to watch. WE attracted other neighborhood children and we played a game of kickball for ATLEAST 2 1/2 hours to probably 3!.
UNCLE Incredible has the BEST AIM ever!!! I mean EVER!! The man could not miss. Warrior had kicked the ball up to the roof, Mr. Incredible played plunko trying to decide where the ball would finally come off the roof, missed, it picked the ball up, and quickly turned around. Warrior, cocky as any cocky young athletic 16 yr old would be, rounded 2nd and was going for 3rd. Decided to just prance a bit and take it easy into home plate and from the middle of the front yard Mr. Incredible unloads the ball and BAM!! right in the head, the way it knocked sWarrior's head it was so funny. I instantly fell to the ground laughing and Warrior fell laughing too!! Another time, something similar happened to Clayton - BOOM uncle Mr. Incredible, gets him out pegged him in the feet. Again, Sweetheart gets out by the Billmeister~! One of the funniest most hillarious things was BRUCEE kicking the ball, losing his footing and BA-BOOM! flat on his butt he went! Warrior and I hit the ground roaring with laughter. my face hurt, I laughed so hard I almost peed my pants! I mean literally. I had to stop and run to the bathroom. I know, I know. TMI! (too much info) My parents brought their dog. He always wanted the soccer ball. This dog looks exactly like the dog on frazier. He went rolling the ball was pitched and rolled him over 3 times on the road! Again, dying with laughter. It was so much fun. So, I guess my stomache muscles got a work out. They feel like it. Anyway, Bruce's incident was even more funnier when he came in the house hours later and said he really hurt the hand he landed on. (uhhh, you think??) LOL, I said, "Bruce, you want advil? It's a long standing joke)Well, he really did hurt himself but you know this gang, we will laugh at you silly and then ask, "OH are you OK, trying to stifle laughter and hold a straight face." We do truly care if you are hurt but, if it looks funny, we won't hold back and please be prepared to hear about it well after the event. In fact, stories can go for years! right Gretchen? "It's my vacation too"! Fun Fun and more fun!
